What products, herbs and medications are the best IBS constipation relief here and now in 2017??

I have some great options for you to check out today!

Constipation is not only uncomfortable and painful, it’s also very frustrating!

Should You Take Medications For IBS-C?

Consult your doctor to determine the best course of action to manage IBS constipation.

Medications could be a great treatment option, but rarely improve the underlying issue, simply just treat symptoms.

For some, medications are necessary to keep symptoms at bay in order to live a better lifestyle.

You can discuss any concerns or ask any questions about IBS-C medications with your doctor.

Natural Laxatives

I never recommend the popular over the counter laxatives because I’m afraid that they could do more damage than good.

These products are made for people with occasional constipation, not meant for regular, daily use.

I once knew someone who was addicted to laxatives and it severely affected them, causing horrible cramps!

Check out these awesome natural laxatives for IBS C relief!

Probiotics are healthy bacteria, essential to gut health. These help with digestion and rid of icky symptoms like those caused by IBS.

Prebiotics are basically a fiber compound.  Great for digestion, they will help aid in a healthier gut overall.

The prebiotics in this product will help promote the growth of healthy bacteria which is ESSENTIAL for healthy digestion.

Having both probiotics AND prebiotics in your diet are going to help you achieve a very healthy digestive tract.

A healthy digestive tract can digest foods more easily and keep your gut happy.

Diet Changes

With the right information and routine you can achieve IBS constipation relief easily. You have several options like an IBS diet change, supplements or medications.Diet can make a huge impact on IBS constipation relief and digestion overall, but may not work for everyone.

  • You can adjust fiber intake to see if more/less soluble or insoluble fiber helps your IBS symptoms.
  • Drink plenty of liquids, staying hydrated helps aid in digestion.
  • Try Prunes, but not too many.  They can help loosen bowels.
  • I recommend for any type of IBS to cut down on processed foods, there’s nothing good about them!

Which Will It Be?

I have no right answer on which treatment you should try.

All of us react differently, as our bodies are different from one another.

  1. I think to get rid of one should get a proper diet plan. These medicines are really good, but having a proper and schedules diet is best for all types of digestion problem.

  2. warm water first thing in the morning is great on me.IBS is my number one problem before,i tried laxatives but didn’t work for me.one should also have a fiber enriched diet.

  3. I prefer natural health supplements, too! I take my daily dose of probiotics in the form of Yakult. It wouldn’t hurt to add prebiotics in my diet as well. 🙂

  4. Natural supplements all the way! Maybe it’s psychological more than physical, but I always feel like they are helping me. Love the site’s logo and name by the way. 😀

  5. It’s good that there are plenty of available treatments for people with IBS. I think it’s important that you consult your doctor first but I seriously would rather have a lot of options than have none or very few.

  6. I do not suffer from IBS, but there are times when I am constipated, probably due to stress or my diabetes. If that happens, my doctor advised me to take psyllium fiber. I just mix it in a glass of fruit juice, and it does help relieve me.

    • Psyllium fiber is awesome, haven’t gotten around to blogging about it yet. My boyfriend was using it to regulate things when he started a Ketogenic diet. I’m glad it really helps you!

  7. This is a very helpful list of recommended items one could take for IBS. I always go for natural, gentle supplements that wont stress the bowels out. I will note the items shared here.
