I’m right there with you!  Couldn’t agree more actually, but it’s not that simple with such a vague disorder like Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Research has been conducted for years and years, without any REAL answer/cure to this disorder.

We have however, learned A LOT about IBS, in fact, a lot of really really good Irritable Bowel Syndrome information.

This information is the key to eventually finding a cure.

But for now, I have some research articles to talk about.

1. Science Daily 2017: Brain Structure

Good Irritable Bowel Syndrome research in 2017. Brains structure can differ among many other findings.Science Daily goes over “Gut microbes linked to brain structure in people with irritable bowel syndrome“, which is a new study that was recently done on Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

This research concludes: “The results suggest that signals generated by the brain can influence the composition of microbes residing in the intestine and that the chemicals in the gut can shape the human brain’s structure.”

In addition to this conclusion, the research also looks into factors that may contribute to this, they mention childhood trauma and brain development.

Definitely gives us a new and interesting perspective!

2. About IBS 2017: Medications

About IBS is an organization all about good Irritable Bowel Syndrome info, so let’s take a look.

Here, they talk about new medications for Irritable Bowel Syndrome as well as some currently being studied.

They talk about several options for people with IBS-C and IBS-D.

There is also mention of Probiotics for those who’d like to forego taking prescription medications or  to have a second method of treatment.

Below are two amazing Probiotic products, great for IBS and other digestive issues.

Symprove is often recommended by doctors and is full of awesome live GOOD bacteria to help your gut balance itself.

The Probiotic yogurt starter is what many call the BEST yogurt ever!  Obviously there’s just no beating home-made foods.

Love me some delicious yogurt!!

3. Science Daily 2017: Exhausted Immune Cells

Apparently in this research article, it was found that all patients with IBS-D have “the same kind of exhaustion in their T-cells.”.

Essentially, the immune cells are not working at their usual function, they don’t respond well to the body’s signals to fight off illnesses.

This is breakthrough information that will help our world better treat and possibly cure IBS!

So…y’all…I guess I’ve got some tired old cells, time for a nap?? I wish!

4. Science Daily 2017: Exercise

I’ve mentioned Science Daily a lot, but SO WHAT?? Science Daily is an amazing resource for IBS research.

I have discovered a Science Daily research article called: “Excessive exercise may damage the gut“.

The article focuses on research that found excessive exercise able to cause acute or chronic gut issues, like Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

I feel like doctors and websites are always preaching about how you gotta exercise to cure all of life’s problems.

No IBS gym rats here, light to moderate exercise is ideal for people with IBS.

Yoga is pretty legit, like it’s the most amazing thing ever!!  Very easy on the body and packed full of benefits.

There are even specific yoga poses that can help with digestive issues!
