Peppermint For IBS Is The Best!

Give peppermint a try! I've been using peppermint for IBS cramps and discomfort for over six years. I love the instant and powerful relief it gives me.

I Love Using Peppermint For IBS

There are so many benefits of using peppermint for IBS.

This was one of my earliest discoveries in the best IBS treatments that I could find.

It gives me amazing relief that is almost instant and peppermint is a very powerful herb!

I use peppermint A LOT.  I can’t go without it and I’m not sure how I would.

This is such a simple, affordable way to treat your IBS symptoms.

I know that prescriptions are pricey and many are wary of what they’re putting into their bodies, which is why I love the idea of peppermint.

It’s natural and effective, you gotta love that!

Does Peppermint Help IBS?

Peppermint for IBSMaybe you’ve googled “Please Help Me”, in hopes of finding a new way to magically heal your IBS or upset stomach.  Or was that just me?

Either way, I know that desperate feeling all too well.   Now, I just turn to peppermint  for IBS because it’s so amazing and a natural IBS remedy!  I like to stick to natural remedies as much as I can.

Peppermint gives such a soothing relief to my abdomen, why would I go without it?  I’m sure to always keep some type of peppermint on hand.  This herb is worth giving a try!

This is a great herbal treatment, peppermint can help relieve general stomach upset, acid reflux, heartburn, nausea, cramping, and abdominal pain.  It’s even used for morning sickness.

Safe and Effective

There’s no worrying about toxic chemicals that can be found in many medications on the market.  Peppermint is a natural way that you can treat your IBS symptoms.

This is a great option for children and families since it’s natural and much safer than keeping medicine bottles around.  Just be sure to pick up the right type of peppermint product for your needs.

Peppermint for IBSAuthenticity Is Key

You need to be careful when purchasing peppermint for IBS.

There are many options like peppermint essential oil, capsules, plants, etc.

Peppermint oil, for example, can vary (certain brands allow for different uses than others).

You don’t want to end up buying a diluted, watered down product or one with added chemicals.

ALWAYS read labels!!

 Do Your Research

Know the product you’re purchasing.

It helps to know what you’re looking at.

Always check ingredients and directions.

I don’t recommend using peppermint 24/7, it’s not to replace all other treatments, but more of an additional self-treatment option for the rougher days.

Like anything, using it in excess might not be good for your health.

While I use peppermint a lot, it’s not my only way of treatment.

Talk to your doctor before starting with peppermint and come up with a game plan that makes sense and keeps you healthy!

Not only do these capsules contain peppermint oil, but they also include ginger and fennel for the BEST relief!

These particular capsules are made by Heather’s Tummy Care, a company dedicated to making products for people with IBS.

If you’re wondering if you should go with these or the peppermint drops I talked about above, it depends on what you’re looking for.

These capsules you swallow and they contain more than peppermint.

These little miracle capsules also include ginger and fennel.  These three herbs are well-known for combating digestive issues.

Together they can rule the world! Well…maybe not quite, but they will rule your gut.

If money is tight, you hate swallowing pills or you want peppermint exclusively, the peppermint drops above are also effective and convenient.

Heather’s Tummy Care also makes an amazing peppermint tea!

I’m also partial to the cute purple canister, this is one of my favorite shades of purple.

Personally, I love tea, it’s so soothing and comforting, making this an awesome option!

The canister can be reused once you run out of the tea inside, this company sells refill tea pouches!

These canisters are large and come with a generous amount of tea, which is perfect, so you aren’t running low on tea constantly.

I find tea ideal during an IBS flare, because I tend to eat and drink less during a flare, the tea will ensure I’m hydrating myself and not becoming dehydrated.

And yes, I’ve had dehydration land me in the hospital ER before, drink your tea… or water.

Other Options

Like any treatment, it’s effectiveness can differ from person to person.  If peppermint isn’t doing the trick, there are many other natural options out there that could be your holy grail.  You can read up about Chamomile tea and how it helps here.

Chamomile is my absolute favorite tea for IBS.
